Knuth Hinge produces a wide variety of custom products for our clients, which include multiple bend hinges, custom stamping, and unique hole patterns.

All of these are designed to fit our customers’ requirements. In fact, because we produce our own tooling in-house, we can provide first article or production quantities in the shortest possible lead times.

We pride ourselves on the ability to produce close tolerance parts.

In sufficient production lots, these custom hinges can be competitively priced like our standard hinges.

 


Case Study in how requesting a product works

A commercial vacuum manufacturer asked Knuth Hinge to provide a less expensive, yet well designed hinge for a specific application.
The hinge needed to be mounted to a large cylinder, while allowing the lid of the cylinder to open and clear existing attachments. These lids will be cycled daily, with ease of operation and longevity being of high importance.

We developed a prototype that required multiple bends, with an off-set knuckle. We sent the prototype to the client for their review and approval. Upon receiving approval, we initiated and completed the first production run, with additional orders that continue to follow.


With our “In House” Toolroom we can make design changes quickly and efficiently.
